100% Biodegradeable Carry Bags!
NO PLASTIC BAGS! NO STYROFOAM BOXES! IT'S CORN STARCH BABY, YEAH!

All of our Carry Bags are made from a corn-starch base. This is an annually renewable bio-mass material that contains absolutely no PE, PP or other conventional plastic resins.

Our bags are certified by ISO 14855 to biodegrade completely within a few weeks in soil or compost and leave no toxic residues. In fact, they become naturally occurring CO2 and water!

Reusable, recycleable, fully biodegradeable, compostable and sustainable!

Why not reuse one of our Carry Bags as your enviromentally safe rubbish bin liner?

Returnable, Reusable Insulated Pouches with Jelly Ice
To make sure your products arrive in frosty cold condition we deliver them in reflective Insulated Pouches. We also throw in a slab of 100% non-toxic Jelly Ice!

And here's the kicker - YOU CAN RETURN THE INSULATED POUCH AND/OR JELLY ICE WITH YOUR NEXT ORDER!

Help us to minimise the amount of packaging in Hong Kong's landfills. Just hand the Insulated Pouch and/or Jelly Ice over to the driver. We will check them for wear and tear, clean them and reuse them.

Occasionally you might want to keep your Insulated Pouches or Jelly Ice. No problem, they're yours! But we do encourage you to reuse them. Carrying drinks to a party? Kid's lunches getting warm in the summer heat? Throw in a frozen Jelly Ice slab to cool things down!

Electronic Invoices / No Paper!
Many delivery companies attach reams of tatty, bleached paper invoices and packing slips (often wrapped in plastic envelopes) to your orders. Not at meatmarket.hk!

We email all invoices to you - no paper!

But if you really need a paper invoice then you can either print off your email or contact us to arrange for a hard copy (printed on 100% recycled paper of course!).

Environmentally Friendly Stationery
At meatmarket.hk we use recycled paper for all of our stationery. Every little bit helps!

We won't rest there. We can do better!

The meatmarket.hk Continuous Improvement Programme is in place to strengthen our environmental credentials. Currently we are looking into several initiatives:

Next Generation Insulated Pouches! Returnable and reusable is good, but we're working with our packaging vendors to find an even greener solution that still keeps your delivery icy cold

Biodegradeable / Recycleable product vacuum packaging. We are working with our product suppliers to get the individual product wrappers biodegradeable as well

Low emission delivery vehicles
